Horrendous.

That is the only word for it, Horrendous. I just took both boys to have their picture taken together. It couldn't have gone more awful. seriously. all joking aside.

It all ended up with one kid having a large knot on his head and screaming, one actually getting a semi-hard pop on the behind in the parking lot (and I NEVER do that), my losing the car keys, having the people at the photo place take care of my kids for me while I find my car keys, the bag that was carrying all of the clothes/shoes/socks ripped in half, so I had to carry/drop/kick/lose/pick up everything.

And that is just highlights. Seriously. I couldn't control Brody. He was unbelieveably defiant. If I told him not to do it, he did it just to make me angry. If I told him to put his legs down, he stuck them straight up and smirked at me. #(@*%^@&! (* HE was NOT in the mood to have his picture taken. In fact, it was the farthest thing from his agenda. The poor people at the photo place had quite an hour with us there. Brody was all over the place while I was trying to dress/undress Seth. THEY were having to CARRY Brody back downstairs because he wouldn't leave, and when he did start to go down, he only wanted to jump down the stairs. That was no good, so they actually carried him.

I was mortified and seething. It scared me how angry and frustrated I could be at my child. I hadn't experienced that to this degree. I am sure that the magnitude of the awfulness isn't coming across in this posting, either. You will all just have to think I am crazy, because it was one of the most single awful experiences I have ever had. Worse than childbirth. I'm not even joking. It made me wonder whether I am cut out for this mother thing. I was unorganized, frustrated, moody, flighty, and bewildered.

I called them to see if they thought we should reschedule or not. She said that she thinks there is one that is good, but the rest aren't. SO, we just spent an HOUR trying to get a picture, and I have ONE to choose from. *sigh* I am NOT doing it again, either. seriously.

Okay. Thanks for letting me rant. I needed to get that out. *sigh*

Brody's First School Picture

Clapping and Uh-Oh

Seth has learned to clap, and he gets a real kick out of it. Also, he has started saying Uh-Oh. Too cute! We go tomorrow to have our first professional pictures taken of just the two boys together. I am so excited!

What a cool day!

Seth loves bubbles. :o) And for all you new moms out there, there are NO bubbles like GYMBOREE bubbles. You can buy them in the Gymboree clothing stores in the malls if you don't take Gymboree classes. Awesome.

Also, we went to the coolest place tonight, and I am pretty sure we will be going there for Brody's birthday party in Feb. It is a place called The Jumpin' Monkey. It is a HUGE room with toys and dress up and slides and ride-on toys and the best part is they have those big blow up jumping thingys (like moon bounces). It was awesome. You pay 5 dollars for one hour and Seth just crawled around and played with baby stuff and Brody jumped and slid and played with toys. It was great.

GOAL!

Our nephew, Evan, is 6 now and is really enjoying soccer. We went to watch his game this morning. It was a nice, crisp, fall morning full of bright sunshine. Evan plays for the Tornados and I got a few good pictures of him.

School Picture Day!

Today, Brody will have his first school picture taken. I am not quite sure what we will end up with, so I thought I would take a few of him this morning in his new clothes and haircut! He is such a cutie.

I look at this picture and realize what he might look like as a young man. He seems so old to me! If he is half as good looking when he is older as he is now, we will be meeting a lot of young women! I wonder if I will think that any are good enough for my little boy. I would like to think I will! I don't want to be *that* mom!

TGIF!

Friday is the only day that I have with both boys all day. It is always our most fun day, too!

Spike It!

While Kurt was putting stuff in his hair this morning, Brody said he wanted some too. So, Brody is spiked up today! Too cute! When he saw himself in the mirror, he puckered up his mouth and said "i'm like a puffer fish". Brilliance, I tell ya. Sheer Brilliance. ;o)

Brody at school

I hung around this morning and snapped some shots of "playtime". I didn't get to see them have their circle time since Seth needed to get home for a nap. Here are some pics of Brody with his classmates.

Mmmmm

What would childhood be without pb&j?

Seth is 9 months old!

We go to have his professional photo taken today, but I thought I would post his "monthly on the blue chair" photo. :o) Look how big he is! I am including his 6 month picture also, just to see how much he has changed!

Big Bargain!

I am so excited. We have a limited decorating budget for the house, but Michael's was having big sales on their fall stuff. I made this wreath for under 30 bucks! I modeled it after a Pottery Barn one that was $214.00. Crazy!
